Product Development
From concept to product, packaged and ready to be purchased, we have
brought many new products to life. From sketches on napkins, to improving existing products, we
have worked on projects in all stages of development. Carl, the inventor of the
HTS Hand Truck System, came to us with a hand welded
aluminum prototype, and many sketches. We converted his ideas into an injection molded assembly.
They are now being installed on delivery vehicles country wide. The HTS Ultra-rack is currently used by
Coca-Cola, Fedex, and Interstate Battery. We completed the re-design of a
Thermo cycler in just two weeks. We utilized our knowledge of injection molding to reduce the number of plastic parts.
We saved our customer $60,000.00 in tooling costs by combining plastic parts, and
modifying parting lines. In addition, we designed the molds and worked with the molder to provide our
customer with the best plastic parts. Next, we teamed up with the electronics supplier to
mount all circuit boards in desired locations. The internal thermal design was revised with an additional
fan, a thermal electric chip, a new heat sink, a new machined aluminum tube block, new sheet metal parts, and
a heating pad in the unit lid. In the Pusher Tray project, we worked closely with the mold maker and molder
to product a quick delivery mold. We designed the mold with many small inserts that were built using an EDM, and
then assembled into pockets in the main tool. The finished parts can be seen at your local food store.
