Pusher Tray

The complete mold design was detailed out by LucDesigns. There are small dovetail details on one side of the tray that needed to be EDM'd. The whole mold base would not fit into the mold maker's EDM, so small inserts were developed. The inserts were EDM'd and this also allows these small details that may wear faster in the mold to be changed at the first sign of wear. The core and cavity sides of this tool also used larger inserts to create sharp corners in the part. The sharp corners would have been too difficult to machine into the mold, and would have required the EDM. Water lines were placed into each of the larger inserts as well as the core and cavity plates. This pusher tray is currently displaying All small and mighty in local food stores.
